Performing as an actress, as well as developing her production work in collaboration with Steve Scrivens for their upcoming production on the life of Frida Kahlo, Rebecca's award-winning career spans across television, film and theatre where she's been able to work with a vibrant and diverse range of film-makers and directors.  Her rich cultural heritage and early life spent enveloped within the arts, sees her dedication to the craft adapt and evolve continuously, just as life does itself, with a deep desire to tell stories through performance.

Rebecca also was and is a professional dancer and specializes in the vicious and beautiful martial arts form 'Penchat Silat' an ancient warrior arts form.

 

Rebecca recently starred as series regular Nisha Baria in BBC Line of Duty's production SHOWTRIAL opposite Tracey Ifeachor and James Frain. She has also finished filming Queens of Mystery (2nd Series) for Acorn TV playing series regular Natasha Young playing opposite Olivia Vinall and Julie Graham. Her worldwide festival run of her short film SAFE SPACE, a film based around survivors of human trafficking was a huge success, garnering 3 Best Actress Awards and 27 Nominations.  

 

 Other performances include Sky's Season 2 of STAN LEE'S LUCKY MAN starring James Nesbitt playing tough lawyer Lakshi Perera. She played the lead in the film YERMA by the legendary Spanish playwright Federico Garcia Lorca where she was pre-selected for a Goya Award her portrayal of Yerma. Adapted and directed by award winning director Emilio Barrachina, the film gained critical acclaim in Spain.
 
She has performed numerous regular roles for screen such as Heather Irvine in award-winning BBC TV series DOCTORS, Joanna Stockerton in MIDSOMER MURDERS, Shaheen Wazir in BBC's PRISONERS WIVES, Dr Stokes in EMMERDALE, Nila in OTHER PEOPLE opposite Martin Freeman and Daisha Anderson as the UK's first on screen Filipina in BAFTA award-winning series HOLBY CITY. During this time, she also received 'Best Actress in a Lead Role' at the International Filmmakers Festival for World Cinema in a film called 'DAVID.'​

Having begun her career in theatre at aged 19, Rebecca was cast in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Hit Musical BOMBAY DREAMS as a dancer in London's West End. She then went onto play opposite Christian Slater in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST as well as landing lead roles in classical and Shakespearean plays performing in numerous regional theatres. Since then, Rebecca starred opposite Steven Berkoff and Sanjeev Bhaskar in DINNER WITH SADDAM at The Menier Chocolate Factory written by Anthony Horowitz and directed by Lindsay Posner.

Her performance in the one-woman-show AVOCADO, written by the author of The Vagina Monologues Eve Ensler, was described as 'searingly intense' in five star reviews. Prior to Avocado, Rebecca worked with another New York writer - Theresa Rebeck in SEMINAR at Hampstead Theatre which was previously performed on Broadway, directed by Terry Johnson. She also played Indian Princess, Princess Aouda in AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS adapted by House of Card's Laura Eason which received five star reviews up and down the UK.
