BACKSTORY

"I became involved in acting through the aesthetics and communication of dance during my childhood. Namely ballet. My mum was a single mum of 3 girls so the ballet school was solace. She sent me to all sorts cultural dance classes from flamenco to dancing between fast moving bamboo sticks with dances from the Philippines. Through all this I was taught to express from within, as if you couldn't speak! My mum also took me to see numerous classical plays twinned with my dad taking me to watch live classical orchestras. All in my home town in Nottingham. I was very fortunate enough have such a vivid childhood in the arts and to have learned about all walks of life. I guess it helped me to understand more about people, characters, stories and what they had to say on the stage and on the screen."
